MediumPowder Coated Stainless Steel
Dimensions236" × 40"
Year2025
CategoryPublic Art Installation / Light Posts

These public Art Installations/Light Posts were permanently installed in 2025 outside Daniels on Parliament Condominium Buildings complex on Parliament and Gerrard Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. "Let There Be Light" reflects the transformation and renewed energy emerging within Regent Park. The sculptural light poles, inspired by origami-like folding and unfolding, symbolize the reshaping of both the physical landscape and the perceptions of the community. The evolving geometries represent movement, growth, and the unfolding of a new narrative — one defined by vibrancy, inclusivity, and possibility. Illuminating the space both literally and metaphorically, the installation celebrates the profound transformation that The Daniels Corporation has helped bring to the area over the years.

The 6 light posts are made of stainless steel, with a built-in LED light fixture hidden in the top that projects light downwards for pedestrians and benches in the front area of the complex.
